Lagos -  Tony Okoroji, the Chief Executive Officer of Tops Records, has said that he was set to release his first single since the 1980s, titled 'Happy Music’' in 2017.
Okoroji, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that the older generations would find a lot to celebrate in the unique sound the song had to offer.
“In Happy Music, my old fans will find a lot to celebrate in the unique sound that has brought us together these many years.
“Those that were not part of the groove back in the days will be hooked to the rhythm of the song.
“When Happy Music drops, there will be a lot of singing and dancing to herald the New Year,’’ he said.
Okoroji, who was once President, Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), said he had garnered enough experience working in the music industry to make his song a hit.
“I have a lot of experience and my creative energy is still very young and strong.
“In the recording studios, I have been working with a lot of young people and we have been exchanging ideas all the time to come out with a unique product,’’ he said.
The producer, however, urged fans to get the music properly from the appropriate source and not resort to piracy or illegal downloads.
Okoroji said that TOPS and Greenbee Mobile recently signed an agreement for maximum distribution of TOPS music around the country.
“This is to make sure that the music of TOPS is easily made available and everyone can get our music legitimately,’’ he said.
