P-Square – Bedroom feat Akon

Image
Africa’s biggest singing duo P-Square have finally dropped their first piece of work for 2017 and it is massive. The duo ended last year on a high with the smash hit single “Bank Alert”, and evening remixing it with one of their fans for a gospel version (Class). For their first single for this year tho’ they step things up by featuring powerhouse and international act Akon. The title of this one is “Bedroom”. Mind you the song is not a sensual one as the title might suggest. The single leaked online a couple of weeks ago,, however, this is the original version. This is not the first time they will be working with Akon or other international acts. Some other acts that they have worked with are Rick Ross, T.I, and a host of others. exclussive interview with Small Doctor

Image
Popular singer, Temitope Adekunle, aka Small Doctor, speaks on  his career, relationship with Pasuma and other issues How was growing up like for you? I was born in Kaduna, but I was brought to Lagos at a tender age. I lived at Dopemu, Lagos, and attended primary and secondary schools at Agege. Growing up was not really rosy for me. Why did you leave Kaduna? My family and I witnessed a massacre where people’s throats were slit. It was a very traumatic experience for us, and we had to relocate to Lagos. When did you start nursing the ambition of becoming an artiste? I have been singing since I was a child, but I sang mostly gospel songs. I only sang in the bathroom and around the house. I never thought of becoming an artiste, but my mother always told me that I would become one. I never knew what she saw but she is a singer, and a part of the church choir. I also have an elder brother that sings. However, I took it professional when I began senior secondary school in 2001.

Why You Don't Want God to Answer Every Prayer

Image
Dear Lord, even if I pray in faith and dot all the i’s and cross all the t’s, but am praying something which I will regret forever and which is not what You have planned, please ignore me. Thank you for hearing this prayer! Three men in the Bible –really godly men, the best of the bunch–prayed at one time or other for the Lord to end their lives. –Moses in Numbers 11:15 “If I’ve found favor in Thy sight, please kill me.” –Elijah in I Kings 19:4 “That’s enough now, Lord. Take my life. I’m no better than my fathers (and they’re all dead).” My paraphrase. –Jonah in Jonah 4:3 “Death is better to me than life, so please take my life from me, O Lord.” In each case, it was a prayer of depression and discouragement. And what caused that? They were brought on by : –Too much responsibility (Moses). He was tired. –Too much opposition (Elijah). He was stressed. –Too little commitment (Jonah). He was disappointed. From this we conclude the following: 1. It can happen to the best.

What to Do When You Fear the Future

Image
Have you ever felt like you don’t know what to do next? Like you’re at a crossroad? You feel stuck, like you’re paralyzed, insecure and unsure of your next step. Do you ever fear the future because you have no idea what you’re supposed to do? I have, and the feeling is not a good one. It’s cold and overwhelming. You feel lost and directionless, despairing about which way to go, wondering about God’s will. There are a million paths, and you dread choosing the wrong one. You simply don’t know what to do. Identify the Root of Fear Like I said, I’ve been there. Near the end of college, I was swallowed by uncertainty. I had so many options, opportunities, and choices, and my life was a giant question mark. I’m a planner, and I had no plan. I was afraid. Yet it was in this moment of not knowing what to do that God began to teach me the perfect peace that comes from reliance on him. And it was this that sustained me. It started with realizing the root of my fear: distrust of God. I

6 Reasons We Resist Change

Image
When we think of a new year, change often comes to mind. While that can excite some, it will threaten others. Why does the thought of change evoke fear in the hearts of many—even in believers? If you find yourself resisting change, see if you can identify with any of these reasons. We may resist change because: 1. Change is not familiar. We seniors are not the only ones who struggle with change, but we probably rise to the top as the most susceptible. Everything we’ve known, from lifestyle to work ethics, to values and beliefs, worship and music styles, to savings and money management—all the things that have worked in the past—loom as fearful challenges with a church, a government, and a world that’s constantly changing. The familiar has worked well for some, so they don’t understand the need for change. But at any age we can cling to the known when it comes to familiar habits, strong preferences, or personal relationships. Sometimes it’s just easier not to remove what feels co

The alarm was raised by the zonal Chairman of CAN, Bishop David Bakare.
