The Presidential Blog] Buhari’s plan to Islamise Nigeria has been exposed

Image
Last month, there was a public outcry over the decision of the Federal Government to offer it’s first Sukuk bonds as a means of raising funds for capital infrastructure. There was a large number of Nigerians who were simply confused as to why there was any need to “borrow Islamic funds” for national projects. But it was the Christian Association of Nigeria that re(eee)ally took the piss. Reverend Musa Asake was all out screaming murder and warning anyone who cared to listen about how this was just another attempt by the Buhari-led administration to Islamise Nigeria (whatever that means). [Read also: Christianise Nigeria with interest-free banks too – Falana] It’s been a about a month since the deadline for the public subscription to the 100 billion naira Sukuk bond closed and was oversubscribed by 6 percent making a total of N105.87 billion as opposed to the original N100 billion offered. So thanks CAN, Nigerians can handle it. In fact, the Federal Government has promptly rel

Since he left office as governor, he has remained a political icon in his home state of Sokoto and Nigeria. Towards the 2015 general elections, he defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, from the All Progressives Congress, APC, after he claimed the APC handed over the party structures to newcomers which included his then Governor, Aliyu Wammakko. In this interview with Saturday Vanguard in Abuja, he condemned the selective fight against corruption in Nigeria and said the current government of President Muhammadu Buhari is finished. He also said PDP needs to put its house in order if it will wrestle power from the APC in 2019. N igeria is 57 years years old as an independent nation. How well do you think we have faired? JUST IN!!! Again, Army Bombs Nnamdi Kanu, Says “Kanu has No Means of Livelihood”

Image
The Nigerian Army has said the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has no means of livelihood, but used “propaganda” to make people believe him. The Director, Army Public Relations, Brig. Gen. Sani Usman, stated this in Abuja, while rounding off a two-day media conference on the military’s enhancement of human rights. The army spokesman, who stressed the need for a robust army-media relationship towards enhancing national security, said those people following the IPOB leader were in a “one-chance vehicle.” Usman said, “There was an allegation that somebody (Kanu) went into hiding. Now, I can’t remember the day but in an interview on Channels TV, one of Nnamdi Kanu’s younger brothers said that he was in hiding and he knew where he was. “And one lawyer came up that he has taken the Chief of Army Staff to court. Now, who gave you the brief? You said you do not know where he (Kanu) is. Now, who gave you the brief? And the media is asking us where is Nnamdi Kanu? W

Ooni Of Ife in Umuahia, renames IPOB

Image
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, yesterday renamed the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) as Indigenous People of Brighter Nigeria (IPOBN), saying the youths that constitute the membership of the group should not be discarded. Expressing disappointment with the proscription and tagging of IPOB as a terrorist group, Ogunwusi said denouncing a people agitating over their right was not the hallmark of democracy. He stated this yesterday when he visited Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to show solidarity with the people of the state and the entire people of Southeast over the recent security crisis that claimed many lives and property. The traditional ruler said he was in Abia “to continue the oneness we preach concerning the unity of this country and to continue to build bridges across the entire country.” He faulted the manner youths were being discarded and branded terrorists for crying out against injustice in the land, noting that the youths who were invol

BOMBSHELL: ‘Buhari Was Cloned In London, Man In Aso Rock Is A Fake’ – Asari Dokubo [WATCH]

Asari Dokubo, a former Niger Delta militant commander, has said that Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari, was cloned in London. Dokubo built his argument on the fact that the president struggled to deliver his Independent Day speech. Dokubo argued that while the president was reading his speech, it would be observed that the “man they have in Aso Rock” was “trying to mimic” the original Buhari. Asari Dokubo Niger Delta Alhaji Dokubo-Asari The Ijaw activist, in an October 1, 2017 video which has been circulating online, said, “A lot of people have been wishing me happy Independence but I told them not to because I’m not a Nigerian. “So this man they have in Aso Rock was speaking, even from his voice, you will know that he was cloned. “You know that there is this thing called cloning, most western Judeo-Christian country pretends to say they banned human cloning except for the purpose of research into health and to save a life. “So we will not be surprised if they did so

UN failing the world, says Jonathan

Image
Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan says the United Nations is failing in its responsibility to ensure global peace. Jonathan said this at a panel on the dialogue of civilisations at Rhodes Forum’s 15th anniversary summit in Greece. Speaking on the theme, ‘Multipolarity and Dialogue in Regional and Global Developments: Imagining Possible Futures’, Jonathan said dialogue remains crucial to the realisation of a peaceful world. He said the inability of the UN to bring to an end the crises in Iraq, Pakistan, East Asia and the Korean Peninsula are evidence of the failure of the union. According to him, the UN security council charged with the responsibility of maintaining international peace “has been more effective in opening new frontiers for conflicts, rather than providing answers to the ones it sought to resolve”. He also said the UN may have succeeded in preventing third world war but cannot boast of ensuring global peace. “That the world needs peace is a declaration no one ev

Let’s Say The Truth And Die, Nigeria Is Negotiable – Bishop Kukah

Image
Bishop Kukah of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto has expressed anguish over what he perceived as injustice and lopsided style of leadership of the President Muhammadu Buhari. According to Bishop Kukah, a certain section of this country has continued to intimidate everybody and get away with it. He added that many villagers in his parish can no longer go to their farms because of fear of being murdered by Fulani herdsmen. Below is a complete statement by Bishop Kukah: “Anyone who thinks the Biafra agitation is a nuisance and irritating should know that it is not the collective aspiration of all Igbos but especially that no one has the monopoly of nuisance. “Nuisance begets nuisance. When you stay with potash loaders you too will share in their dusty hair. It is in this country that the same standards are not held against all. Some can get away with anything but others cannot get away with something. “I shudder at those who blame the agitators for agitating. Everyone knows what

Fake Buhari: Fani Kayode Gives 32 Reasons to Show Buhari Has Been Cloned

Image
The ridiculous rumours making rounds in Nigeria is that President Muhammadu Buhari is still in London, United Kingdom and a cloned version is presently presiding over the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja. Former Minister of Aviation, Olufemi Olukayode has taken to Facebook to buttress Nnamdi Kanu's claim of President Buhari being substituted with a double who now parades himself as the President. He highlighted some observations to support the claim. See the observations below. Been thinking... 1. Buhari went for surgery in January. 2. The story was that he didn't quite make it and was brain-dead. 3. Aisha came back crying in April. 4. Aisha was later barred by Mamman Daura and Abba Kyari from seeing Buhari. 5. In June/July, Buhari started receiving visitors in London. 6. Story was that he was always laughing (methinks his double was still learning the ropes and was always laughing to hide what he didn't know). 7. Buhari supposedly arrived Nigeria in July. 8

Buhari Was Cloned in London, Current Nigerian President is Fake – Asari Dokubo

Former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, has insisted that the current Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, was cloned in London. Asari predicated his claim on the fact that the president struggled to deliver his Independent Day speech. The former Militant leader maintained that while the president was reading his speech, it would be observed that the “man they have in Aso Rock” was “trying to mimic” the original Buhari. In a video which surfaced online yesterday, Dokubo said, “A lot of people have been wishing me happy Independence but I told them not to, because I’m not a Nigerian. “So this man they have in Aso Rock was speaking, even from his voice, you will know that he was cloned. “You know that there is this thing called cloning, most western judo-Christian country pretend to say they banned human cloning except for the purpose of research into health and to save life. “So we will not be surprised if they did some sort of cloning in all the period this man

'If they've killed our son, please let's have his corpse

Nnamdi Kanu's younger brother says if the army has indeed killed the secessionist, the family just wants his remains for burial.          Nnamdi Kanu  (Sahara Reporters) The family of Nnamdi Kanu say they want the corpse of leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) handed to them; if the army has ended his life as is being speculated in certain quarters. The whereabouts of the separatist Kanu remain unknown, days after the army raided his apartment in Umuahia, Southeast Nigeria. The raid that led to Kanu’s sudden disappearance occurred on September 14, 2017. The federal government, the army and Kanu’s lawyer all say they have no idea where the eccentric Kanu is. Fani-Kayode slams President Buhari over ‘shameful’ Independence Day speech

In a singular tweet on Monday, October 2, Fani-Kayode said the president's speech confirmed his earlier submission that Buhari hated the Igbos. After this, Fani-Kayode went on to reveal what he tagged as a 'bitter truth' about President Buhari's relationship with southern Nigeria. According to him,. President Buhari does not just detest the Igbos but also other people from the south and the middle-belt areas of the country. How Orji Uzor Kalu tried to bribe Nnamdi Kanu through me

Emmanuel Kanu, the younger brother of the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra [IPoB], Nnamdi Kanu has alleged that a former governor of Abia State, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu who stated recently that Prince Nnamdi Kanu had escaped to London through Malaysia, tried to bribe Nnamdi Kanu through him. Emmanuel said that the former governor may have been angry and/or bitter with the Kanu family following a rebuff by the family when he attempted to reach out to the family to help in persuading Nnamdi Kanu into dropping the Biafra restoration project. Emmanuel stated specifically that Orji Uzor Kanu had visited the home of Nnamdi Kanu on December 27, 2016 to meet with Prince Nnamdi Kanu on the premise that he had a message from the President of the republic of Nigeria, Major General Muhammadu Buhari. Orji Uzor Kalu was greeted at the balcony of the house by the father and mother to Prince Nnamdi Kanu in the company of Emmanuel Kanu, the brother.  He was not allowed entrance into the mai

Yakubu Gowon tells Nnamdi Kanu who to consult over Biafra

Image
A former Nigeria’s Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, retd., has told groups agitating for a separate country from Nigeria to think again. Gowon also asked leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu to consult daughter of former Biafran leader, Odumegwu Ojukwu, Ebele, for advice. Gowon said this in an interview with Punch on the eve of Nigeria’s 57th independence anniversary. According to him, those behind the resurgence of agitations for Biafra lack a sense of history. He said , “ Those who think of causing problems for Nigeria should , for God’s sake, think twice. I think we have had Biafra before and it has ended. “Don’t resurrect it. Think of the sufferings of the people in those days, don’t recreate it because any leader will not want to be a party to dismembering the country. “All those who are calling for disintegration, let them think twice . Let them ask, will the authorities accept it? “I can assure you I did not accept it and that is the reason w

Buhari: How president’s October 1 speech showed his hatred for Igbos – Ozekhome

Image
Activist lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome has said President Muhammadu Buhari’s speech on Octpber 1 clearly displayed his hatred for people of the South-East. He said Buhari showed a fixated hatred for Igbos when he berated leaders of the region for allowing those feeling marginalised to agitate for the breakup of the country. Describing the speech as not only un-presidential but un-reconciliatory, Ozekhome wondered how Buhari could see nothing wrong in the murderous activities of herdsmen across the country as well as the illegal quit notice asking Igbos to vacate the North without any repercussion against them. Ozekhome’s stance on Buhari’s speech was contained, in a statement he signed, entitled ‘President Muhammadu Buhari’s National Day Broadcast: Yet Another Golden Opportunity Lost.” According to Ozekhome, “The entire national day broadcast by PMB on the occasion of Nigeria’s 57th independence is quite disappointing in all ramifications. “It was very un-presidential and un-

Ohanaeze replies Buhari: Your sentimental, lopsided policies responsible for agitations

Image
President Muhammadu Buhari's Independence Day broadcast elicited strong reactions from across the country, yesterday, with Ohanaeze Ndigbo and the Eastern Consultative Assembly, ECA, taking strong exceptions to the indictment of Igbo leaders over the escalation of agitation for Biafra. The President's speech was, however, welcomed by the Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF, and some of the President's political supporters, including Comrade Adams Oshiomhole. However, critics from across the country, including Dr. Junaid Mohammed, Alhaji Tanko Yakassai, Senator Roland Owie, Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN; Mr. Akin Osuntokun, among others, flayed the speech for either being empty, sectional or lacking in imagination. The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, which was the object of criticism in the broadcast for allegedly superintending over what the President described as the years of the locust between 1999 and 2015, failed to articulate a reaction yesterday. Warning against the suste

HURIWA condemns Buhari’s speech, says it lacks statesmanship

Image
A pro-democracy and non-governmental organisation, Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA), has dismissed the 57th Independence broadcast by President Muhammadu Buhari. It said it is substantially deficient in statesmanship and portrays the President as someone with some deep-seated grudges and unmitigated hatred for the over 50 million Igbo-speaking people of South-East of Nigeria. HURIWA said portions of the speech specifically lampooned the people and leaders of South-East and is capable of igniting longstanding hatred for the Igbo by his largely northern followers who had earlier issued an unconstitutional quit notice to Igbo to leave the 19 northern states by yesterday which they grudgingly suspended. In a statement by its National Co-ordinator, Emmanuel Onwubiko and the National Media Affairs Director, Miss Zainab Yusuf in Abuja yesterday, the group said it was disappointing that the President seemed unperturbed about the alleged human rights violations and e

Buhari confusing restructuring with break-up, says Afenifere

Image
The pan-Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, and its northern counterpart, the Arewa Consultative Forum, on Sunday, disagreed on President Muhammadu Buhari’s Independence Day’s broadcast.  Buhari had, in the broadcast, said irresponsible groups had hijacked the restructuring debate, decrying what he called the folly of “hot-headed” youths.  The ACF said the broadcast was timely, but Afenifere said the advocates of restructuring meant well for the country.  The National Publicity Secretary of the Forum, Alhaji Muhammad Biu, told one of our correspondents in Kaduna that the broadcast was a scorecard of the President’s administration on security, economy and corruption.  He noted that the ACF advocated peaceful and meaningful dialogue on all issues of national importance and the use of democratic institutions to achieve better results.  The ACF’s spokesman stated, “The President’s independence anniversary speech was timely and appropriate considering the issues raised. Buhari lied in his October 1 speech – Junaid Mohammed

Image
A second Republic lawmaker, Junaid Muhammed, has berated President Muhammadu Buhari’s October 1 speech. Muhammed said the speech was “not realistic,” adding that some of the claims made by Buhari with regards to his policies were not true. The Northern elder noted that if Buhari was articulate, the speech would have been an “avenue to mobilise and regain the confidence of the people.” Speaking, Muhammed said, “Frankly speaking, the speech is not realistic. There is nothing and there was nothing meant to be spectacular or unique about the speech of the 57th anniversary. “It is celebratory. Where we have a leader who is articulate or is in a firm control of the government, the speech could have been an avenue to mobilise and regain the confidence of the people. “As far as I am concerned, there is nothing in the speech to energise, galvanise or persuade me. “The government muddled up a speech that should be about matters of national importance with personal reminiscences of

Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer, IPOB attack Kalu for his revelation

Image
The Former Governor of Abia, Orji Uzor Kalu came under attack Sunday, after he revealed that the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu’s fled to London through Malaysia. Highlights: Mr Kanu has not been seen or heard from since last month’s clash between his supporters and troops near his Afaraukwu home in Umuahia, Abia – which left (still leaves) the question, where is Nnamdi Kanu? His lawyers have urged the High Court in Abuja to compel the military to produce him, “having taken him away when they invaded his house”. But the military has since denied taking Mr Kanu away. The former governor, in an interview, said Mr Kanu had run away to London – that one of Mr Kanu’s relations told him the whereabouts of the separatist leader whose counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor wondered how Kalu could be authoritative about his client’s whereabouts when he did not claim to be present on “the day soldiers invaded Kanu’s abode”. Ejiofor and others in the suit claimed that Kanu,

PRESIDENT'S INDEPENDENCE SPEECH LACKS STATESMANSHIP; IGBOPHOBIC- SAYS HURIWA:

Image
A pro- Democracy and Non-Governmental organisation-HUMAN RIGHTS WRITERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (HURIWA) has dismissed the October 1st 2017 57th Independence broadcast by President Muhammadu Buhari as substantially deficient in statesmanship and portrays the President as someone with some deep seated grudges and unmitigated hatred for the over 50 million Igbo speaking people of South East of Nigeria. HURIWA said portions of the Speech by President Muhammadu Buhari which specifically lampooned the people and leaders of South East of Nigeria amounted to raw hate speech which is capable of igniting longstanding hatred for the Igbo by his largely Northern followers who had earlier issued an unconstitutional quit notice on Igbos in the North to leave the 19 Northern States by today which they grudgingly suspended. This according to the Rights group violates the Presidential Oath of office as enshrined in the seventh schedule of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria of 1999

Buhari: Biafra campaigners irresponsible

Image
President Buhari: says his government will not allow dismemberment of Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari devoted part of the 57th Independence anniversary speech to remind campaigners for the dismemberment of Nigeria of the horrendous experience  of Nigeria’s civil war between 1967 and 1970. Although he did not mention Biafra specifically in the broadcast, the reference was unmistakable as the Indigenous People of Biafra has been the champion of a new Biafra nation, to be excised from Nigeria. President Buhari restated that the dismemberment  campaign, part of the wider legitimate call for restructuring of the Nigerian federation, has violated the red line. He said his government will never allow such advocacy, being pushed by “irresponsible groups”. ” We can not and we will not allow such advocacy”, he said. “As a young Army Officer, I took part from the beginning to the end in our tragic civil war costing about 2m lives, resulting in fearful destruction and untold suffer

Babangida Opens Up on Biafra Agitation

Image
Nigeria’s former President Ibrahim Babanida has called on Nigerians to ensure they live in peaceful unity with one another. “Peace remains the best option in resolving conflicts and agitations in the country, adding that recent conflicts and agitations, chanting slogan of war and hate speeches are derailing the nation’s development and unity,” he said in a statement released on Saturday to acknowledge the country’s independence, which is tomorrow. “As an active participant in the Civil War and a retired military officer, with the hard lesson learnt, I will never be tired on calling for the oneness and unity of our great nation. We will forever be ready to sacrifice for a united and prosperous Nigeria whenever the need arises “During our tenure in government we deliberately formulated policies, programmes, projects and even the creation of states to further weaken unwholesome agitations for secession and promote mutual and peaceful coexistence devoid of ethnic, religious and reg
