Several of my comrades were buried at night in secret cemetery – soldier

Image
At the northern edge of this city’s sprawling military base, a vast field of churned soil conceals the hidden toll of a deadly offensive by the allies of Islamic State. After dark, the bodies of soldiers are covertly transported from a mortuary that at times gets so crowded the corpses are delivered by truck, according to Nigerian soldiers, diplomats and a senior government official. The bodies are laid by flashlight into trenches dug by infantrymen or local villagers paid a few dollars per shift. “Several of my comrades were buried in unmarked graves at night,” said a soldier from the Maimalari barracks, where more than 1,000 soldiers are based. “They are dying and being deleted from history.” The secret graveyard at Maimalari isn’t the only one in Nigeria’s troubled northeast, the senior government official said. The reality is that Africa’s largest land force—a U.S. counterterrorism ally—is struggling against an insurgency that first flared a decade ago and is now rejuven

I'm his statement with NTA jounalists, he pointed out three things that need to be fixed to ensure their plans for better Nigeria works.   "I want to specifically channel my statement to igbos in South East. I'm making this statement because it is so clear that they are the ones who will never want to hear anything good about Nigeria.  I think it's a sign of  wickedness to become an enemy to your own country. Since Goodluck Jonathan left the office, the only thing that igbos think about is Biafra which nobody has ever talked about for over how many decades now after the civil war. Igbos have become a big challenge to the economic growth of Nigeria for the past four yea

Entire South-east will soon be declared state of emergency if nnamdi kanu did not stop this evil broadcast---Bratai

The current Nigerian chief of army staff blew hot today. The army chief of staff, Tukur Bratai has warned the entire south-east to respect the president and stop this fake news circulating majorly in south east the the person in Aso Rock is not Buhari but an imposter called Jubril. "I think it's time to stop this madness from Nnamdi Kanu and his supporters mainly from South east, and the only way this thing can be put to silent is only by declaring south east a state of emergency" bratai said. I think the main problem Nigeria is facing comes from South east because they oppose everything that has to do with Nigeria or Buhari. It is a madness to call your country a zoo and insult your president continuously by claiming he's either brainless or he is Jubril. The Igbos felt that the Python dance recently launched was targeted at Igbos but it wasn't so, because the operation Python dance was only launched to protect the peace and unity of Nigeria and never to elimi

He suggested that it should be the turn of the South by 2023, adding that it cannot be North alone dominating the rest of the nation forever in terms of leadership of the country. He said this will not augur well for the nation. “A Nigerian president is possible. It can be from the South, it can be from the North,” he told Sun. “For peaceful arrangement and for the stability of our country, even those in the North had conceded in times past when it was the southerners’ turn. “When Obasanjo came and Yar’Adua died, a southerner still took over.
