Aisha Yesufu, co-convener of BringBackOurGirls,BBOG, advocacy group, on Tuesday called out President Muhammadu Buhari over his presence at the All Progressives Congress, APC, rally in Osun State. Aisha, while lamenting the death of Saifura Khorsa, a humanitarian worker with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) killed by the Boko Haram terrorists, slammed Buhari for abandoning citizens and security for political rally. According to her, Buhari’s appearance at APC rally in the heat of Boko Haram Killings, showed lack of importance for security of Nigerians to him. The National Chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomhole has mocked the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ademola Adeleke, for failing to show up for the Osun governorship debate organised by Channels Television on Sunday. Oshiomhole spoke about Adeleke’s absence at the debate during the mega rally the APC held in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, for Gboyega Oyetola, the party’s candidate for the election. He said, “I understand that there was this debate that was held a few days ago and one of the aspirants was dancing skelewu while the debate was going on. When they asked him, he said his motor broke down. May the government of Osun State never break down. If it hasn’t broken down in Aregbesola’s time, it cannot break down in Oyetola’s time.” His comments come some days after Mr Adeleke failed to show up for the two-hour debate. The Coalition of United Political Parties said it had uncovered a plot by the All Progressives Congress- led Federal Government to attack the leadership of the National Assembly next week . The coalition added that this would be done through the filing of a suit and securing an ex parte application directing that one third of the Senators /House members could demand to open either of the chambers of the National Assembly . The leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of projecting an Islamic agenda. The body said the President has made three key appointments in the last few days, but that none is from the South or a Christian.
