Buhari, APC without shame, comfortable with failure – Reno Omokri

Image
Former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on electronic media, Pastor Reno Omokri, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari and the members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are not only shameless but were comfortable with failure. According to him, Buhari and APC committed grave misnomer by expressing satisfaction with the state of Nigeria’s economy which has experienced “a third quarter of negative growth”. Recall that Buhari had on the 28th August 2017, received almost a two-hour briefing from the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma, the Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, and Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr Godwin Emefiele after which he declared that he was pleased with the progress being made on different fronts in the economic sector. But Omokri disagreed with him, saying the country’s economy gives no cause for one to be satisfied with. Omokri, who said Buhari was ignorant of Presidential etiquette, explained in a

UC News Re-arrest Kanu, face consequences, militants dare FG

Image
NigerDelta militants have warned the Federal Government of the dangers the country would face, if the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, is re-arrested by security agents. The militants also gave government a two-week ultimatum to release two members of IPOB, Chidiebere Onwudiwe and Bright Chimezie, who had been in detention, threatening to commence attack after the expiration. The militants, consisting of members of Niger Delta People Democratic Front (NDPDF),  Concerned Militant Leaders (CML) and Rainbow Marabas (RM),  gave the warning yesterday in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, after their crucial meeting. Leaders of the groups identified as General Iyoyo Playboy (NDPDF), General Ben (CML) and General Billy Anaeja, warned that re-arrest of Kanu would cause spontaneous attacks in major states in the country. The group further accused the Federal Government of playing politics with the lives of Nigerians, particularly people from South East and South

This unholy and inhuman attack by the Fulani Herdsmen has become a reoccurring incident in the region. Few months ago, they also committed more severe pains. Their herds of cattle will destroy the farmer’s crops and when the farmers confronts them, they will compare them to death with their AK47 and other dangerous weapons. The painful thing about this situation is

what Nigerians need to restructure: Oshiomhole

Image
Immediate past governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, has said Nigerians need to restructure their attitude, be more honest with others, and creatively manage public fund. He maintained his rejection of the idea of returning Nigeria to regional system of administration. Oshiomhole stated this in reaction to criticisms by Southern leaders who are against his views on restructuring. He told Vanguard: “I am also a leader from the South. I don’t know what people mean but I am clear that we need devolution of powers and review of the Revenue Allocation Formula. Those are the two things I believe are doable and they will transfer more resources to the states and the states can do some of the things that the Federal government is currently doing. “If that is what they mean by restructuring fine; but any suggestions about return to regions, I don’t believe they should move from one region to state and from state back to regions. I think what we need is very well captured by (P

I Am Ready To Sacrifice My Son, Wife, And Entire Family Members For Biafra's Sake - Nnamdi Kanu Breaks Down In Tears, Dares The Police Force

Image
The move by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government to re-arrest the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, after he was granted bail by an Abuja Federal High Court, is currently generating controversy across the nation. Recall, that the Nigeria Police has said that they would not hesitate to re-arrest Nnamdi Kanu, if he dares to disrupt the forthcoming election in Anambra State, slated for November 18. According to the Force Public Relations Officer, FPRO, Jimoh Moshood, the Force Headquarters have drafted Policemen to keep watch in Anambra, as the election draws near. However, Nnamdi Kanu in an exclusive interview with Daily Post, on Saturday night, vowed to resist the arrest, insisting that Nigeria would burn, if the Federal Government moves to re-arrest him. When asked, I know you have a son whom you have not set your eyes on since he was born, because of agitation. Don’t you feel for this boy; his future if something untoward happen

Amaechi’s confession of the APC conspiracy

Image
Last Tuesday, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi finally opened up on the conspiracy he and a few other former members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP weaved to bring down the Goodluck Jonathan administration. Amaechi spoke on the sidelines of the meeting of the National Council on Transportation in Sokoto when he met with fellow plotter, Governor Aminu Tambuwal. At the time of the conspiracy, Tambuwal was the speaker of the House of Representatives and the fourth most senior government official in the PDP. Amaechi’s confession came almost four years to the day on August 31, 2013, when the first signs of the plots came to national attention. On that day when the PDP gathered for a special national convention on its 15th anniversary, five governors walked out on President Goodluck Jonathan and the national chairman of the party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur. The five governors were Rabiu Kwankwanso, Kano; Aliyu Babangida, Niger; Sule Lamido, Jigawa; Aliyu Wamakko, Sokoto; and Ahmed Abdulfa

Buhari, If You Must Send Kanu Back To Kuje Prison, Send Arewa Youth Leaders To Kirikiri

Image
I do not like Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). I think he is a megalomaniac who uses his tongue to seduce impressionable Igbo men and women for an insular end. In fact, I see Kanu as an incarnate of Adolf Hitler, the late German demagogue, who wheedled his people into believing that the Jews were their problem. The IPOB leader is a hate-speech merchant, and he is paying the price for his abomination against the state. He had spent more than a year in Kuje prison, Abuja, and he is currently facing charges of treason at a federal high court in the Nigerian capital. Before his release from prison, his supporters – thousands of them – held rallies and protests in the south-east and the south-south, and they often swarmed the court where he is facing trial. In some of the rallies, many of his supporters were mauled down by army bullets. What will happen if he is re-arrested? I recall in November 2016, Amnesty International, the human rights watchdog,

OWERRI ZONE UNITES, INVOKES THE SPIRIT OF THEIR ANCESTORS AGAINST OKOROCHA AT UGWU EKWEMA Following the forceful demolition of Eke Ukwu Owere against court orders which led to the brutal murder of Master Somtochukwu and many others, Ifeanyicy.com reports that the people of OWERRI zone have declared operation end of OKOROCHA’S callous and barbaric actions meted on the people of Owerri zone and OWERRI federal constituency in particular. The elders “OHA” of Owere Nchi Ise at the grave side of the founding fathers of Owere Ekwem Arugo of the 14th century, however called on the ancestors of the land to rise against any inhumanity against his generation and the people of Owere by the government of lmo state led by Rochas Okorocha. Opinion: Biafra is a country whose time has come »y

Image
A few months ago the entire world witnessed a marriage between agitation and solemn remembrance. An entire region was shut-down as the spirit of a country that once was, came alive. Teary-eyed elders sat in silence and reminisced about a period of darkness that scarred their lives forever, while the hopeful young ones, idealistic as ever, chanted songs about a country which is to come. From Onitsha to Aba, they have continually gathered to sing songs of redemption and songs of an ever elusive freedom from a country they no longer feel a part of. 50 years on and the problems of yesterday are still the problems of today, the loud call for secession is stronger than ever. Da Rose my mom’s elder sister occasionally sings Biafra songs from her kitchen, some days the songs are victory songs about Biafra’s triumph that never was, at other times sorrowful songs about wartime. Da Rose is a retired nurse who worked with the Red Cross during the war, one can say she had a front row s

Biafra: Crisis looms in Igbo Land

Image
It’s not alarmist. Crisis is looming in Igboland. The sore has been allowed to fester, for too long. Pus has accumulated.   Massage and   warm compresses won’t do now. A surgical knife must go in. The government must act decisively, one way or the other. Prevarication can   lead to a costly   gangrene. The wound must be drained and cleaned, so that it can heal. The wound   dressing must involve   comprehensive political engagement of the southeast, and a restructuring of the federation. We are on a slippery slope. Nnamdi Kanu was granted bail by a court.   He is being tried for offences bordering on treason. He has flouted the bail conditions.   He must have been emboldened by the   enticing temerity   of the Arewa youths.   ShettimaYerima and his Arewa youths committed treason. They issued a quit notice to Igbos to leave the north,or face severe consequences by October 1. They did more than plagiarize Nnamdi Kanu’s hate files .They were not arrested. They were not charged.

outh East Governors tell Nnamdi Kanu to reduce demands from Federal Government

Image
The forum promised to engage the entire leadership of IPOB in a dialogue. The South East Governors’ Forum at Government House, Enugu met with the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB),  Nnamdi Kanu , and asked him to reduce his demands from Federal Government. On the Anambra election, the governors told Kanu to rescind his call on people in the state to boycott the governorship election. They also promised to engage the entire leadership of IPOB in a dialogue to address their demands. The meeting with the IPOB leader may not be unconnected with the recent move by the FG to re-arrest him on alleged violation of his bail condition over his treasonable felony trial. Kanu is agitating for a Biafran state made up of the people of the South East and South South geopolitical zones of the country to be carved out of Nigeria

Security Operatives Invade Southeast For Nnamdi Kanu, Vow To Prevent Him Fleeing Once Court Revokes Bail

Image
The police have increased the numerical strength of their personnel in the South-East and South-South zones of the country as part of measures to prevent a breach of the peace, which may result from the activities of Biafran agitators ahead of the upcoming Anambra State governorship election. And apart from the Mobile Police Force operatives, the force was quoted by Punch Newspaper as saying it had deployed the Counter-Terrorism unit, the Intelligence unit and other conventional policemen, who would work with the state commands in the South-East and South-South zones. In addition, the Newspaper quoted top sources in the police as saying that the security agency had placed the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, under surveillance to prevent him from fleeing the country should the court revoke his bail and order his re-arrest for allegedly flouting his bail conditions. The Federal Government had last week asked the Federal High Court in Abuja to revoke the

Arewa youths blast Nnamdi Kanu

Image
President of Arewa Youths Consultative Forum, Alhaji Shettima Yerima has described leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu as a ‘noise maker’ for rejecting the withdrawal of quit notice earlier issued on Igbos residing in northern Nigeria. He called on the relevant authorities to deal with anybody who violates the suspension of the quit notice to the Igbos residing in the northern parts of the country. Kanu and his pro-Biafra group had rejected the withdrawal of the quit notice, describing it as “inconsequential.” Yerima told Daily Sun that the quit order belonged to the past as the objective had been achieved by Arewa youths. His words, “Did I do it for him or in the interest of the country? His rejection of the suspension of the quit notice is not important to me. What we did was to demonstrate that we have a culture. We give respect to our elders and it was to ensure that the country remains together. The country is above anybody. “On that basis,

Despite Withdrawal, Northern Youth Groups Biker Over Quit Notice To Igbos

Image
The Joint Action Committee of all Northern Youth Association (JACOM) has taken a swipe at  the Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) which  had issued a quit notice to Igbos to vacate the northern region before suspending the notice subsequently. JACOM while addressing newsmen at a press conference Friday in Kaduna said, the quit notice was issued without any consultation and that it was a sponsored agenda meant to destabilize the nation and over-heat the polity. The press conference which was jointly addressed by Muhammad Isah Imam and Murtala Abubakar also accused the CNG of playing out a script with ulterior motives. “Like we advised before now,  the Coalition of Northern Groups should desist from such grandstanding and acting a script. The youth of the north are interested in leaders that understand their problems and champion their cause. “We appreciate the fact that they have realized their folly and retracted the so-called quit notice. In future they should consult with

Why Boko Haram uses more girls for suicide bombing than any other insurgency

Image
Nigerian-based terror group Boko Haram is one of the most deadly terrorist organisations in the world. The group, led by Abubakar Shekau after gaining grounds in 2009, pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group (IS) in March 2015. It has wings across the Lake Chad Basin region around the borders of Nigeria, Niger, Chad, and Cameroon. Until 2016, it was named the  world’s most deadly terrorist group  ahead of ISIS for killing over 6,000 people. Another benefit of using children as suicide bombers is that they are difficult to detect and thus effective at penetrating otherwise secure areas ... They also serve as a generally costless source of labor. Its modus operandi is suicide bombing by strapping bombs on girls and women to target government officials, state institutions and public places. They kidnap women and girls after raids of villages in the northeastern part of Nigeria. The men are either inducted into the group or beheaded. The height of the abduct
