I Am Not Interested In 2019 Presidential Elections – Buhari Totally Shocks The World, As Aisha Jubilates
Emerging report making around, revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari, had prior to the 2015 elections told his party members, that he will “not seek a second term in office, even if Nigerians beg him to do so”.
This report, Post-Nigeria learnt was confirmed by the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Alhassan.
“In 2014/2015 he said he was going to run for only one time, to clean up the mess that the (previous) PDP government did in Nigeria. And I took him for his word, that he is not contesting in 2019”, the Minister of Women Affairs, Alhassan said.
She further authenticated her statement saying, that Buhari made the comments in 2015 to APC members.
As at the time of filing in this report, neither the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, nor the Presidency has come out to deny, debunk, or discredit this statement that was allegedly made by Buhari.
Moreover, the Minister has threatened to resign, if Buhari dares seek a second term in 2019.
Many Analysts have recently opined that Buhari may not be too healthy to contest for a re-election, because his health may not stand the rigorous campaign as a Presidential aspirant.
Post-Nigeria could recall that the First lady, Aisha Buhari, had sometime ago threatened not to vote for her husband, if he declares an intention to run for 2019.
The First Lady in an interview with the BBC, had added that her husband had not told her whether he would contest the 2019 election.
She had said: “He is yet to tell me, but I have decided, as his wife, that if things continue like this up to 2019, I will not go out and campaign again and ask any woman to vote like I did before. I will never do it again.”
