This was made public in a tweet released by the US Diplomatic Mission to Nigeria on Friday. The tweet reads: “The US Mission to Nigeria joins the calls of Nigerian leaders and citizens across the country for an end to violence. #OutofManyOne."
It would be recalled that Nigerian soldiers and IPOB members clashed in Umuahia after the soldiers were reportedly seen patroling with armoured vehicles near the house of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.
The military today started its operation codenamed ‘Operation Python Dance’ in the South East. Nnamdi Kanu and his group are fighting for a separatist country of Biafra.
