Atiku vs Buhari: Garba Replaces Bulkachuwa On The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal

d Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa as the head of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
Justice Garba is the presiding Justice of the Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal.
The Peoples Democratic Party had called on the Court of Appeal to replace Bulkachuwa in the presidential panel to avoid a delay in the prosecution of their petition.
The party had also written Justice Bulkachuwa to excuse herself from the Presidential Tribunal sitting over the petition filed by its Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar .
Garba, who appeared on the five-man panel for the first time on Monday, replaces the President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa.
Bulkachuwa had withdrawn from the panel after allegations were raised against her of being bias by PDP and its presidential candidate.
The petition written by PDP and former Vice President is challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress in the February 23 presidential election.
There are three other petitioners challenging the outcome of the poll.
