Moghalu has previously announced that he will participate in the 2023 election.

Former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Kingsley Moghalu, has joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2023 presidential election.

The 58-year-old had previously left the Young Progressive Party (YPP) after his underwhelming performance as a candidate in the 2019 presidential election.

He announced his new party on Friday, October 8, 2021 declaring his faith in the ability of Nigerian youths to re-engineer Nigeria's economy.

"I ask all my political supporters to join the ADC," he said.

Moghalu has previously announced that he will participate in the 2023 election, running a four-point agenda code- named 'SWAG'.
