The remains of Hadiza Sule Lamido, daughter of former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido have arrived Dutse International Airport. Her burial will take place as scheduled today by 10am. Hadiza passed on Sunday morning in India at the age of 38. Born in 1979, late Hadiza is survived by husband and three children.

The Lagos state government has stated that starting from today, August 3rd, bus conductors in Lagos will be required to wear a uniform and name tags for easy identification. This information was disclosed by Comrade Israel Adeshola, the National President of the Bus Conductors Association of Nigeria, BCAN. According to Adeshola, the Lagos State government has approved the association’s uniforms and badges with name tags and identification numbers for easy identification of registered conductors. He said, ‘’The re-branding of bus conductors in the state which is in partnership with the Lagos State Government is a project that has been in the master plan of the state government in a way to stem criminal activities and also protect the lives and properties of Lagosians.’’ He, therefore, called on Lagosians to support the initiative.

However, after the exchange of courtesies and pleasantries, Obasanjo and President Buhari retired to another room for a meeting which lasted for 40 minutes. Boko Haram terrorists, have killed seven people in Mildo community, the Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State. Recall, that Adamawa is the State of former Nigerian Vice President, Atiku Abubakar. This came barely 24 hours after the Service Chiefs announced their arrival to Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, for a final battle with Abubakar Shekau, the most wanted Boko Haram Commander. Reports say the insurgents sneaked into the town through Chakawa village, killing and burning houses. The attackers also beheaded seven civilians, and burnt two houses, before leaving. Seven men were killed by the insurgents during the attack, while two women got injured, and are receiving medical attention. Recall, that Madagali was part of the territory annexed by Boko Haram in 2014, before its subsequent liberation by Nigerian soldiers, in 2015.
