Aisha Yesufu, co-convener of BringBackOurGirls,BBOG, advocacy group, on Tuesday called out President Muhammadu Buhari over his presence at the All Progressives Congress, APC, rally in Osun State. Aisha, while lamenting the death of Saifura Khorsa, a humanitarian worker with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) killed by the Boko Haram terrorists, slammed Buhari for abandoning citizens and security for political rally. According to her, Buhari’s appearance at APC rally in the heat of Boko Haram Killings, showed lack of importance for security of Nigerians to him. The National Chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomhole has mocked the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ademola Adeleke, for failing to show up for the Osun governorship debate organised by Channels Television on Sunday. Oshiomhole spoke about Adeleke’s absence at the debate during the mega rally the APC held in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, for Gboyega Oyetola, the party’s candidate for the election. He said, “I understand that there was this debate that was held a few days ago and one of the aspirants was dancing skelewu while the debate was going on. When they asked him, he said his motor broke down. May the government of Osun State never break down. If it hasn’t broken down in Aregbesola’s time, it cannot break down in Oyetola’s time.” His comments come some days after Mr Adeleke failed to show up for the two-hour debate. Anti-Buhari coalition alleges plot to attack National Assembly leaders

The Coalition of United Political Parties said it had uncovered a plot by the All Progressives Congress- led Federal Government to attack the leadership of the National Assembly next week . The coalition added that this would be done through the filing of a suit and securing an ex parte application directing that one third of the Senators /House members could demand to open either of the chambers of the National Assembly . The spokesman for the CUPP , Mr Ikenga Ugochiyere , said in a statement on Tuesday that the plot would include the invitation of the leadership of both chambers for questioning by the police . Ohanaze Ndigbo Youths have knocked President Muhammadu Buhari over his appointment of Yusuf Bichi as the Director-General of the Department of State Services, DSS. Their condemnation followed a similar reaction by the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN. Bichi, a Kano indigene, replaced acting DG, Matthew Seiyefa of Bayelsa origin. The youths, after their national executive meeting in Umuahia yesterday, accused the President of nepotism, saying his appointments have shown he was not a fair leader.
